FIRE SERVICES DIVISION

The Fire Services Division of the Alamogordo Department of Public Safety consists of 12 full-time Fire Equipment Operators, 12 City Employees who are paid-on-call firefighters, a Fire Operation Manager and a Fire Services Commander.  There are seven fire stations located throughout the City of Alamogordo and the City currently has an ISO Rating of 4.

FREE SMOKE DETECTOR PROGRAM 

The Alamogordo Department of Public Safety, in cooperation with local businesses, is offering a free smoke detector and installation to qualifying applicants. In addition, a fire inspection of your home can be conducted at the time of installation.

 

 This program is being offered to City Residents who meet any one of the following criteria:

 Single Parents.

 Parents of Newborns.

 Disabled Citizens.

 Citizens Over 60 Years Of Age.

 Annual Household Income Under $20,000.
