The Alamogordo Community Earth Day Fair is held annually on the last Saturday of April at the Alameda Park Zoo in Alamogordo, NM. This event recognizes organizations throughout Alamogordo and New Mexico that offers services to our community and encourage natural resource conservation.
Our community Earth Day is the time to recognize our many volunteers from the community that are connected with keeping our city beautiful through the litter-cleanups, the Great American Cleanup, beautification projects and the Adopt a Highway Mile program.
Earth Day 2009 attracted over 4700 participants, which is over 15% of the population of Alamogordo. More than 60 organizations were on hand to educate our community of their services and information available to them.
