Department Description: The Community Development (CD) Department is charged with quality in construction and community infrastructure.  CD plans and executes the development of Alamogordo's public infrastructure as City land owner, and manages quality in private development through the City's development regulations.  CD's divisions handle construction ordinance review, zoning and subdivision enforcement,  City engineering, traffic engineering, capital project design, management of the City's geographic information system (GIS) and land use data base, and community infrastructure planning. 

Mission Statement: The Community Development Department is committed to providing our services for the betterment of the citizens of Alamogordo. We provide these services with honesty, integrity, foresight, compassion, fairness and a commitment to excellence for the benefit of the general public, both today and in the future.

Services Available: The Community Development Department has the capability of providing information on water and sewer main lines, survey plat information, historical aerial maps, current aerial maps, FEMA certification, and general information about past, current and future improvement to the City of Alamogordo's infrastructure. Copies of maps can be obtained for $0.50 / Sq. Ft.
