Litter Eradication

Litter eradication projects involve the cleanup and prevention of litter at public spaces. There are two main subcategories of litter eradication: litter cleanups and litter free events.

Litter cleanups are the collection of existing trash at or along public spaces. This includes: parks, roads and other public spaces.

Litter free events are the prevention of litter at events open to the public.

 Adopt-A-Park

Group or organization provides periodic cleanups and reports needed repairs, graffiti, etc. for a community park. Recognition and materials provided. Click on link for more information.
Keep Alamogordo Beautiful will provide trash cans, liners, and volunteers to assist with trash collection at events open to the public.

Due to reductions in grant funding and staff, funded events are limited and selected by the Board of Directors during the January meeting.

Organizations that would like to be considered  by Keep Alamogordo Beautiful to provide funding for liners, cans and volunteers for their event must provide a request between October 1st and December 31st for the next fiscal year
 (July-June).
