Department Description
The Alamo Senior Center provides a variety of services for persons 60 and over. The program is governed by Federal Guidelines, administered by the NM Aging & Long Term Services Department, and sponsored by the City of Alamogordo.
Mission Statement
The Alamo Senior Center's mission is to provide services for persons 60 and over and their spouses regardless of age. The Center is a social environment, which provides support, education, recreation, nutrition and entertainment for elderly persons in Alamogordo and the surrounding area. The Center's goal is to provide an opportunity to maintain a vital role in life for all persons.

salad w/ raspberry vinegarette dressing, rolls, strawberry cheesecake, and drink)

The NM Human Services Department can assist Senior Citizens (living on a fixed-income) with Energy Efficiency Programs AND assist with paying your heating and electric bills.
To see if you qualify call 1-888-839-7878
The SE NM Community Action Corporation staff is available to assist low-income Seniors with rent, utilities, and prescriptions.
