Alameda Park Zoo Docent Program

The Docent Volunteer program is new to the Alameda Park Zoo and has only been in existence since last May. Its primary goals are to prepare persons to be knowledgeable enough to educate the public about our animal collections, about the value of Zoos, and about the role of Zoos in wildlife conservation.

If you are interested in becoming a Zoo Docent Volunteer, please contact the Docent Coordinator, Loretta H. Diehl. Email Loretta H. Diehl  or call (575) 921-1890.

To volunteer, fill out an Alamogordo Friends of the Zoo Volunteer Application.
