Genealogy

Genealogy, the study of family ancestries and histories, began its rise in popularity in the 1970’s and has grown steadily in the decades since. With the introduction of widely available consumer DNA testing, genealogy has become more compelling than ever. While genealogy is a steady growth industry, its thorough and complicated research requirements can be daunting for hobbyists of any qualification. The Alamogordo Public Library is a great resource for serious and curious genealogists, alike.
